E-Sys MAX guide
A BMW car report as a PDF
Everything E-Sys knows about a car, in one document you can print, save or hand over: the vehicle, its options, every module, the coding changes and the last fault scan.

What is in the report
- Vehicle: VIN, chassis, model and type key, build date, paint and upholstery codes, and the I-step (factory and now).
- Options: every factory option (SA), HO-word and E-word, each with its name in English.
- Modules: every module with its address, its name in plain English, its coding (CAFD) versions and its software parts.
- Coding changes recorded by E-Sys MAX: for each module, the settings that differ between its oldest and its newest coding file, with the values in English.
- The last fault scan, with its date.
Make the PDF
- In E-Sys read the car's vehicle order (FA) and SVT, or open them from a backup.
- Open the E-Sys MAX menu and choose Car report (PDF).
- Tick what to include (the coding changes and the last fault scan) and press Make PDF.
The report is made on your PC from the files E-Sys already has. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is written to the car.
What people use it for
- Selling or buying a car: the real build date, options and modules, straight from the car.
- Handing a car back after coding: what was changed, module by module.
- Your own records: the state of the car before and after a flash or a retrofit.
Questions
Do I need the car connected?
No. The report is made from the vehicle order and SVT E-Sys has open, read from the car or opened from a backup.
Where do the coding changes come from?
E-Sys MAX keeps a copy of every coding file E-Sys reads, per car and day. The report compares each module's oldest and newest copy. See the coding history in E-Sys MAX for every version in between.
E-Sys MAX
The whole car on one page
E-Sys MAX names every option and module, keeps your coding history, and prints it as a car report.
