Every release is checked inside these E-Sys versions before it is published: E-Sys MAX loads, its menu and tools appear, every page of E-Sys opens, and the coding safety check covers E-Sys's Code buttons.

Connection to the car

BMW ICOM over Ethernet (Connection via ICOM/Ethernet)	Supported since 2.0.10; tested with a simulated ICOM, not yet with a real one
Newer DoIP cars	Found by the car connection check; the fault scan and battery reading use the classic gateway protocol and may not reach DoIP-only cars
Bluetooth or Wi-Fi OBD dongles, K+DCAN cables	Not supported: E-Sys itself cannot use them
